Questions

What it does, and what it does not

Where the honest answer is “no”, it says so. Anything here that changes will change on this page too.

Making a video

What do I have to give it?

For an explainer: a topic and who it is for, in one box — or upload your material and say what the video should do with it. For a how-to: the website address and what the video should show. Everything else has a sensible default.

Which files can I upload?

PDF, Word, PowerPoint, plain text and Markdown, up to 100 MB each. You can also add pictures for the scenes to use — a logo, a product shot, a diagram.

How long can a video be?

Choose Short (about a minute), Medium (two to three minutes) or Long (about five). The script is sized to fit, at a calm pace of about 150 spoken words a minute.

Which languages and voices are there?

Four voices, recorded with ElevenLabs: two British and two American, female and male. They are multilingual, so the same voice can narrate in English, German and many other languages. You do not pick one: the studio chooses the voice from what you write, and you can ask for a man or a woman, or an accent, in your description. The studio itself is in English and German.

Can I check the script before the voice is recorded?

Yes. Turn on review and the build stops at the script — or, for a how-to, the storyboard. Edit it directly, or say what to change and get a rewritten version back. Nothing is recorded until you approve it. Leave review off and the whole video is made in one go.

Can I change a video after it is made?

Yes, by asking in the chat — “make scene 3 shorter”, for example. Only the scenes the change affects are made again; the rest stay exactly as they were.

How long does it take?

It depends on the length and the kind of video. The build runs on our servers, so you can watch each stage in the workspace, or close the tab and come back to it later.

Captions, branding and quality

Does every video have captions?

Yes. They are timed from the recorded voice and come as separate SRT and VTT files with every video. You can also have them burnt into the picture, so they show wherever the MP4 is played.

Can I use my own brand?

Yes. Give it your main and accent colours and upload your logo. The colours run through the whole video, and the logo appears at the start and the end — on the first and last scenes, or on a how-to’s title cards. Anything you leave out, the AI chooses to suit the topic.

How do I know the content is right?

You check it. The pipeline makes sure every scene loads, that its text stays on screen and that nothing looks broken — it cannot tell whether a statement about your field is true. Upload your own material when accuracy against a particular document matters, and turn on script review so you can read every word before it is recorded.

Is the voice a real person?

No. Every video is narrated by a synthetic voice from ElevenLabs, and the captions show exactly what it says.

How-to videos and sign-in

What will the how-to recorder click — and what will it not?

While exploring, it only looks around: it follows links and menus, scrolls, and reads what is on each page. It never clicks anything that deletes, removes, pays, buys, sends, publishes or signs out, and it never leaves the site. In the recording it performs the storyboard’s steps — clicking, typing, choosing, pointing — and still will not delete, pay, send or sign out unless you explicitly ask it to show that.

Is it safe to give it a password?

The details are encrypted before they are stored, used only inside the browser that records the site, and never sent to the AI: the storyboard uses placeholders and our own code types the real values. They are never shown again, not even to you. Where you can, use an account made for the recording rather than your own.

Will the sign-in appear in the video?

Not unless you ask. By default it signs in off camera and the recording starts on the first step. If signing in is the point of the video, ask for it to be shown — the username is then visible in the video.

What does the AI see of the website?

The text of the pages the browser visits — headings, links, button labels and field names — so it can plan the steps. Never what is typed into a field.

Can it record a tool on our internal network?

No. The recorder only opens addresses on the public internet and refuses private network addresses, so it cannot be pointed at anything only our own servers can reach.

Sharing, privacy and credits

Can I put a video in our LMS?

Yes. It is a standard MP4, so any LMS, intranet or video platform that accepts video files will play it — upload the SRT or VTT file alongside if it shows captions itself. On the University / Business plan you can also download it as a SCORM 1.2 package, which tells your LMS when a learner has watched it to the end and for how long — or paste its embed code into any page. For a full course with quizzes and scores, our sister product AI SCORM Studio makes those.

How do I share a video?

Publish it to freeze a copy, then choose who can watch: anyone with the link, or anyone at all by listing it on Explore. Viewers need no account and are never identified — you see how many watched and how far they got, never who. The edits you make afterwards stay private until you publish again.

What happens to my uploads and my videos?

They are stored with the video and used to make it. Delete a video and its files, captions and any stored sign-in details go with it; delete your account in Settings and everything goes. Settings also exports what your account holds. The privacy notice says exactly what is sent to the AI and voice providers.

What does it cost?

You pay in credits, per activity — a new video, a change you ask for in the chat, a rewrite of the script — rather than by how much text the AI happened to process. Your plan sets what each activity costs.
